The Barnsley restaurant with ‘best food diners have ever had’ that has taken the town by storm

Situated in Barnsley’s town centre is a restaurant that is so popular, it has amassed thousands of five-star reviews.

The Favela Brazilian Grill, in Church Street, offers an exotic take on a traditional steakhouse, offering punters a taste of South America with its Brazillian BBQ fare. And the food has proved popular, because it is Barnsley ‘s number one restaurant, according to thousands of TripAdvisor reviews.

The grill has a five-star average rating on the reviewing site, with 1,003 top-rated reviews. Customers praised the venue for its perfectly cooked food, fantastic atmosphere and attentive staff.

Photos posted to TripAdvisor show a restaurant absolutely jam-packed with people, showing that people really are voting with their feet – and choosing The Favela. With veggie and vegan options, it is also a real crowd pleaser and the menu offers a little something for everyone.

Reviewer Ozeenzada could not praise the restaurant highly enough, saying that they had recently had the “best meal of [their] life”. They said: “Just had one of the best meal in my life here .. great service delicious plate of vegetable and best Brazilian steak . Thank you for your service.”

And reviewer Rebecca said that the steakhouse was great for her, even though she did not eat meat. She said: “Came today with a friend for her birthday and the atmosphere, food and everything was amazing! I would highly recommend visiting even if your not a meat eater like myself the salad bar along with the pasta is unbelievable! I cannot wait till visit again!”

Robert said: “Visited 11th March lunchtime Buffet was great with wide range to choose. Meats were superb, minted lamb was fabulous. Staff attentive, polite and friendly. Definitely recommend.”
