Our Teriyaki Shrimp Lettuce Wraps are wonderful for dinner and leftover for lunch the following day!

Take a break from the routine of having the same old lunch or dinner dishes. Just because you’re trying to eat healthier doesn’t mean your meals have to be boring! With this teriyaki shrimp lettuce wraps recipe, I’ll show you that you can make a healthy and delicious lunch or dinner in less than 10 minutes.

If, like me, you love Chinese food and crave something sweet and sour without giving up your healthy eating plan, this is the recipe for you. Asian flavors are not exclusively available in a Chinese or Japanese restaurant. We can easily recreate these them at home by buying ingredients such as ready-made teriyaki sauce, or spices commonly used in Asian food. Best of all, you can experiment using these ingredients and others you have at home, and above all, make fitter and healthier versions in your own kitchen!

Furthermore, you’ll be surprised how easy our delicious teriyaki shrimp lettuce wraps recipe is to make. And if you have guests, this unique dinner idea is a great yet simple way to show off! These sweet and sour lettuce wraps make an excellent starter course, too!

Prepare Teriyaki Shrimp Lettuce Wraps in Less than 10 Minutes

Use these shrimp wraps as an appetizer or serve them as a light main course.

Like we said, preparing these teriyaki shrimp lettuce wraps is incrediby easy to do! First, heat the avocado oil up in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the shrimp in the skillet for one minute on each side, until golden brown (without letting the shrimp sear all the way through).

Once the shrimp are partially cooked, pour the teriyaki sauce into the skillet and cook for two to three minutes more, stirring occasionally.

Lastly, spread several layers of butter lettuce like a tortilla and fill with the teriyaki shrimp. Add the cucumbers and carrots and serve immediately.

Shrimp as Part of Your Daily Diet

Flavorful shrimp and bright veggies combine to create one seriously mouthwatering meal.

This recipe is not only delicious, but also nutritious. As a low-calorie food, shrimp are ideal to add to your diet on a regular basis.

Shrimp is an excellent source of protein, whose consumption is highly recommended for people who want to maintain a healthy weight. Protein helps in muscle building and boosting the immune system. In addition, shrimp are a great source of vitamins and minerals. They include vitamin B12, B6, Vitamin E, and Vitamin A.

Perfect Garnishes for Your Shrimp Teriyaki Lettuce Wraps

These vibrant shrimp lettuce wraps are the low carb option you've been looking for.

If you are preparing this recipe, you may be wondering what garnishes you can use to accompany these delicious teriyaki shrimp lettuce wraps. Asian flavors are commonly accompanied by vegetables. We recommend making a delicious salad to pair with your wraps, like our Roasted Sweet Potato and Mango Salad.

Like any other wrap, this recipe can be customized with different garnishes. If your eating plan allows you to eat carbohydrates, you can make a side of baked potatoes or prepare them with some spices that combine well with the flavor of the teriyaki sauce. Rice, too, is a great option to go with it. If it is brown rice, you will be avoiding refined flours and at the same time creating a dish with a perfect balance between flavor and nutrition.

We want to know how you serve these lettuce wraps! Did you eat them as a main course or serve them as an appetizer? Did you pair anything with them? Let us know in the comment section!
