Smoked Pulled Pork Baked Beans

We took our Homemade Smoked Baked Beans recipe to the next level by adding a heaping helping of pulled pork! Our Smoked Pulled Pork Baked Beans can be made into a whole meal if that’s your thing. It also makes a great side dish for any of your upcoming BBQs, cookouts, or potlucks, too. Put the can away, homemade baked beans are the way.

Smoked Pulled Pork & Beans

Canned baked beans definitely have their place for a quick summer meal, but man. If you’ve ever had the real deal homemade version, you’re going to build that time into your cook to toss on a pan of beans.

Plus, homemade baked beans are really great to bring to a BBQ or potluck. They transport easily, reheat easily, and can even be tossed in a slow cooker to keep warm without losing quality.

How to make Smoked Baked Beans with Pulled Pork

This is just the overview so you can see what you’re actually getting into here. When you are cooking, you’ll want to use the full recipe at the bottom of the page.

Preheat

We’re smoking these, so 220° is the target.

Mix it up

Mix the sauce ingredients, drain the beans, and stir everything together in a grill-safe pan.

Smoke

For about an hour until you peek. Then give it a little stir, and smoke it for another hour.

Enjoy

These are pretty flexible, so if you want to smoke them for the 2 hours called for here or go longer, like 4-5 hours, it should be fine either way. If you go longer, just keep an eye on the sauce and if things start getting less saucey than you’d like, throw some beer in there to loosen it up. You do you.

Smoked Pulled Pork Baked Beans FAQ

How do you store leftovers?

Cover the pan with tin foil and stick it in the fridge. Easy stuff. You can also store in an airtight storage container, or even in a freezer baggie if you’d prefer.

What’s the best way to reheat leftovers?

Good news! The leftovers for Smoked Pulled Pork and Beans heat up perfectly in the microwave.

Can I substitute another meat for the pulled pork?

Yes! I’ve used leftover brisket before, and it was delicious. I’d also love to try this recipe with a pulled ham some time.
