New restaurant ‘hatches’ in downtown Roanoke’s City Market building

ROANOKE, Va, – A new cafe is “hatching” in downtown Roanoke in a corner place that’s been vacant for around a yr.

The Hatch will now be nested in Roanoke’s Town Current market developing.

“The idea just came alongside one another. We’ve generally beloved rooster sandwiches, most people loves Chick-Fil-A and stuff like that,” explained operator, Jo Jo Soprano.

It is the hottest addition to the Parry Restaurant Group, which also owns area favorites like Beamer’s 25 and Clutch Smoked Meats.

“We are normally looking for new destinations to grow the company. We did communicate about for a 12 months now seeking at this space. Of training course in the middle of COVID is when it turned available so we were a minor hesitant at first but as time progressed and we could see matters have been coming again to ordinary then we very seriously pursued it,” mentioned Soprano.

Soprano “hatched” the plan in 2021 when he recognized the demand from customers for hen sandwiches and what they phone, “southern meals finished appropriate.”

“It’s a bunch of southern design food: Mac n cheese, fried cauliflower and eggplant, corn on the cob, all sorts of superior stuff like that. Our hen sandwiches selection, we have some thing for all people. Most of them do have fried rooster but you can generally sub it out for grilled rooster,” he mentioned.

The Hatch will open Wednesday, June 8 at 11 a.m.
