David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn has been posting a lot of his cooking recently but got some backlash after trying his own pasta recipe
Budding chef Brooklyn Beckham, 26 has left foodies horrified after sharing his latest recipe online.
David and Victoria Beckham’s eldest son is believed to be planning to rebrand himself as a celebrity chef and is said to be in talks to launch his own cooking show.
He has been posting a lot of his own recipes to social media, with his clips often featuring his dad David, but Brooklyn’s latest pasta dish has caused some controversy among Italian food fans.
Brooklyn was filming himself making a ‘spicy tomato cream pasta’ and he was seen spooning crushed tomatoes from a jar into a pan before mixing in cream.
He mixed the dish together before topping with parmesan cheese.
He received positive comments and a sweet post from his fiancée Nicola Peltz of a heart eye emoji.
However, the post was flooded with moans from followers who couldn’t believe he’d used pasta sauce from a jar – and just added cream.
One wrote: “Every Italian who has seen this video about cooking pasta is crying,” someone else pointed out as another wrote: “Only non Italians can say this looks good.”
Another added: “Not a jar pleaaase. I can teach you how to make Italian pasta! Ciao Brooklyn.”
“We love you but no, pasta is not like that,” one person wrote in Italian and another said: “How disgusting! Eat pasta properly.”
A fourth joked his sauce was an outrageous “revenge on Italian people for the Euro cup”.
Since this controversial dish, Brooklyn has posted some other cooking videos including French toast, burgers and quesadillas.
His videos attract thousands of fans and a lot of them begging him to make his own cooking series.
Brooklyn recently purchased a £7.5million home with his fiancé.
The soon to be married couple live in a five bedroom house in a plush area of Beverly Hills, California.
The 7,000 square-foot house boasts a lavish kitchen which features in the star’s cooking videos, swimming pool, gym and wine cellar.
Reportedly the house is close by to where dad David played for the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Brooklyn met his future wife back in 2019 at Coachella and proposed to her last year with a £250,000 ring.
He popped the question the weekend before his parents David and Victoria’s 21st wedding anniversary.
It is not known whether the pair have started planning their wedding yet.
Brooklyn often declares his love for his fiancé by posting photos of her on Instagram.
Just a day ago he posted a loved up selfie of the pair which was captioned: “Me and my other half.”
He stays close with his parents and often posts throwback snaps of his family on social media
On Father’s day this year he shared an old photo of him and his dad holding hands which was captioned: “Happy Father’s Day to my amazing dad xx and all the incredible fathers in my life love you so much.”
