About the exhibition
A Chef Who Paints is a solo exhibition from Sweet Artwork by Jenni that shares Jenni’s like and exuberance for everyday living as a result of her activities as a chef and artist.
Centered in the beautiful Byron Bay Hinterland, Australia, Jenni delights in building beautiful art starting off with the simple components of flour, product, natural and organic eggs, and spices, which are reworked as a result of watercolours, oils, and charcoals.

Jenni’s art brings a reminiscence of exclusive eateries, picturesque cafes, exotic road scenes, and homey kitchens wherever you can smell the mouth-watering aromas, flavor the exotic and home-cooked favourites, and hear the audible joy of individuals having fun with a meal together.
About Jenni Rogers
Jenni is an Australian artist and chef, who is dependent in the stunning Byron Bay Hinterland, Australia and delights in making paintings that incorporate two of her favourite points – cooking and artwork.
Jenni bought her to start with cafe when she was just 16 years previous – The Chelsea Teahouse in Avalon. It was only later in everyday living that she identified her enjoy for portray. This like is what direct Jenni to go on to create artworks depicting wonderfully offered food stuff. Jenni is in her element while baking gorgeous cakes, biscuits, and pastries and turning them into will work of art.
She finds all areas of food items and cafes pretty psychological, as fondly remembered by Jenni, “I generally associate recollections with meals. I know when I bake bread, I think of my dad in the kitchen baking these enormous loaves for our loved ones, my Grandma and I producing little, sweet jam mushrooms with icing and pastry stalks and my mum and I destroyed the kitchen by cake decorating, each and every bowl and equipment in the dwelling was utilized. Our favourite recipes remind us of our beloved types – when we build them, in a way, it delivers them back again to us. My paintings are a way of capturing individuals images”
Jenni remembers, “It wasn’t so considerably that I found my like of painting and drawing as I try to remember now, I just never imagined I experienced any talent to even endeavor to do anything at all extra considerable. My defining moment arrived although going for walks back home from an oil portray class in our regional hall in Empire Bay on the central coast and imagining wow I can paint! and I dabbled with the considered “I could be an artist” I had only just painted my to start with portray and I knew very little except I definitely beloved it!”
Just after the delivery of her two daughters, Jenni took People-art Lessons in Singleton and then knew she wished to go and do official coaching to achieve confidence, that is when she done Cert II & III in Good Art & Present-day Craft at Tafe. “This taught me the foundations of drawing and participating in close to with diverse mediums and kinds,” stated Jenni.
Jenni’s inventive course of action starts with thoughts that she gains from the observation of these topics.
